Dear members, this is another photography competition which all of you are strongly encouraged to take part in:
The Climate Change Photography Competition 2010
The Climate Change Photography Competition aims to have students to understand the link of human action to the global phenomenon of climate change. Students will be required to express their perspective of climate change through capturing moments of their everyday life and (if required) writing a short commentary of the underlying story they wish to convey.
Below are some of the important points that you have to take note regarding the competition:
- Each student is entitled to submit only one photo. Each entry must be accompanied by a short title.
- The short narration (non compulsory) to the photos should not be more than 150 words and should relate how the picture is related to the theme – Climate Change.
- Entries must not be graphically manipulated but minimal digital enhancements are allowed.
- The photo submitted must in JPEG, JPG format and mostly unmodified. By "mostly unmodified", it means that you have not deleted or composited elements in the photo. (Enhancements to colour and sharpness are fine)
- Photos must be in 1,000 px (minimum) wide or tall, JPG format and under 10 MB each. 2,200 px or larger is required for print consideration.
- Please do not submit anything that is not a photo, such as graphic art, paintings, illustrations, screenshots, etc.
- Please burn your submission into a CD-ROM
There will be attractive cash prizes to be won; please submit your entries to Miss Guo or Mrs Tan latest by the 1st of September.
For more information, do approach Hui Shi, Qian Ying or Miss Guo.
